MedStream

IVF & embryology software · Mumbai, Maharashtra

IVF software from Gujarat, deployed in Mumbai.

Mumbai has India's most competitive fertility market: multi-centre chains, standalone boutique labs, and hospital ART wings, often with more than one location and a consultant list that changes. Software here is judged on how well it handles several units under one roof.

MedStream is built in Ahmedabad and deploys in Mumbai in the cloud or on your own server. We will also say plainly what a Mumbai buyer should weigh: our on-site presence is a flight away rather than a drive, and our document bilingualism is English–Gujarati, not Marathi.

Fertility care in Mumbai

Mumbai's fertility sector concentrates the country's highest patient volumes, the most multi-centre operators and the sharpest competition for referrals. That shapes the software requirement: a shared patient record across units, role permissions that reflect a large and changing staff list, referral accounting that survives scrutiny, and reporting an owner can read across locations rather than one clinic at a time.

01

How does one record work across several Mumbai units?

One patient, one UHID, visible at whichever unit she attends — with 100+ granular role permissions deciding who sees what. Reception sees scheduling and billing, each consultant sees their own patients, the embryology team sees the lab, the accountant sees money without clinical detail, and the owner sees every location. Cloud deployment keeps the units on one database; on-premise remains available where a group prefers to hold its own server.

02

What does referral accounting need to survive scrutiny?

Shares computed from the bills themselves rather than remembered, an edit history on the percentages, and a printable settlement statement — so the monthly conversation with a referring doctor is about a document, not a recollection. In a referral-driven market this is the report that gets checked most often and disputed most expensively.

03

What should a Mumbai buyer weigh against us?

Three honest things. Our on-site presence is strongest in Gujarat, so a Mumbai deployment leans more on remote training and support than an Ahmedabad one does. Our printed documents are bilingual English–Gujarati, so Marathi documents are not something we offer. And we do not have pharmacy inventory, lab-analyzer (LIS) integration or a mobile app today. If those are decisive for your group, a broader enterprise HIS may fit better — we would rather you knew before the demo.

Onboarding & support

Mumbai deployments run on remote onboarding — structured role-by-role training over video, assisted data migration with screen sharing, and support on WhatsApp or the phone — with on-site visits arranged for go-live where a group wants them. We say this plainly because pretending otherwise would be discovered in week one.

Registration

An ART clinic in Mumbai registers under the ART (Regulation) Act, 2021 through the Maharashtra State Board under the ART Act, 2021, and its obstetric scans fall under the PC-PNDT Act with the district Appropriate Authority. Our ART Act guide walks the levels, the process and the records to keep, and Form F is explained here. Both are practical orientation, not legal advice.

Questions from Mumbai

What do Mumbai’s IVF centres ask us?

Answers specific to fertility centres here — the general questions live on the FAQ page.

Can MedStream be used by IVF clinics in Mumbai?

Yes — MedStream deploys anywhere in India, in the cloud or on the clinic's own server, and 17 dedicated embryology and ART modules work identically wherever the clinic is. What differs is proximity: our on-site presence is strongest in Gujarat, so Mumbai deployments lean on remote onboarding and support, with on-site visits arranged around go-live.

Does it support multiple centres under one group?

Yes. One patient record is visible across units with 100+ granular role permissions controlling access, and reporting rolls up across locations for the owner while each consultant sees only their own patients. Cloud deployment is the usual choice for multi-centre groups.

Where does an ART clinic in Mumbai register?

Under the ART (Regulation) Act, 2021, clinics and banks register through the National Registry with their State Board — the Maharashtra State Board for Mumbai — and are graded by service level. Our ART Act guide covers the levels, the process and the records to keep; confirm current procedure with the Board, as this is orientation and not legal advice.

Do you print documents in Marathi?

No. MedStream's bilingual documents are English and Gujarati today, so in Mumbai the English document is what prints. We would rather state that clearly than let it surface after purchase.
